The Legend of Zelda

Because I made this topic on the original Interplosion.

So yeah, Skyward Sword and stuff. Excitement is boiling throughout my entire being. Yes, my whole body. Every last gland.

Re: The Legend of Zelda

I haven't had a console made by Nintendo since the DS and I never had the GameCube so I'm missing out on a LOT of Zelda games and it makes me sad in the pants because I LOVE ZELDA SO HARD.

Re: The Legend of Zelda

Ocarina of Tim(e), remains my favorite Zelda game ever. As well as one of my top five favorite games ever.
All I can remember after I closed my eyes, was that first, it got real loud; then, it got real hot; then it got real slimy; then it got quiet; then it got.... unspeakable. And when I opened my eyes, the pool was empty, and three days had passed.

Re: The Legend of Zelda

I enjoyed Link to the Past and The Minish Cap. Don't think I was ever able to play Ocarina of Time because I never had a game system that played it?

Re: The Legend of Zelda

Link to the Past is my one true love from this series. I played through a decent chunk of Ocarina of Tim, but I got bored around the Goron village. I didn't play Majora's Mask for more than like an hour.

Since I recently got a Gamecube, I might look into Twilight Princess and Wind Waker, though I hear people are really split on Wind Waker.

Re: The Legend of Zelda

I love Wind Waker, but some people think it's too light-hearted and cartoony cuz of the graphics. If you look beyond that though, it's actually one of the darker entries in the series.

Re: The Legend of Zelda

Well, everyone, it's out. I just got to the third dungeon last night and I'm lovin' it so far. The art style is even more beautiful in-game, and Ghirahim is just plain awesome in a really "I'm going to rape the shit out of you" kind of way.

Also sorry about double-posting, not sure if we care about that here or not.

After the third temple, there is a moment where you will want to murder the developers.

Re: The Legend of Zelda

MY only problem with WW is the sailing time. That was a BIG problem. I've pretty much played every Zelda besides Minish cap and spirit tracks. Have to say my top 3 are Majora's Mask, Ocarina of Time, and Link's awkening. In that order. YOU HEARD ME LINK TO THE PAST IS NOT ONE OF MY TOP FAVS

Majora's Mask, [Skyward Sword], Wind Waker, Ocarina of Time.

Skyward in brackets because that is obviously a new addition.

What is it, the Silent Realm? I took a peek at the guide and that seems to be coming up pretty soon.

Silent Realm isn't bad. There's a part where you have to redo the entire first temple though, and that pissed me off so much.

Actually, having just gotten to the Ancient Cistern, I didn't mind going back through the Skyview Temple. The archers were frustrating, but I was glad those damn spiders were gone. And the Stalfos fight was a fun challenge.

How far are you, anyway?

Xicon has already kicked the ass of the entire game. Fastest play-through for a Zelda game I've ever heard of.

Re: The Legend of Zelda

Yeah, already done. It's probably the best game I've ever played, even with the annoyance of revisiting Skyview Temple - which is only annoying because it's completely artificial padding of the game length.

I'm actually glad I haven't finished the game already. I want it to at least last me through Thanksgiving break, and the way things are going it looks like it should.

Also, Skyview Temple is the only dungeon you have to return to, right?

Yeah. You have to redo some of the outdoor areas but no dungeons again.

Re: The Legend of Zelda

Wow, glad I did the Song of the Hero quest in order. Starting over that late in the game really would have pissed me off.

Anyway, just beat the game. Awesome ending is awesome. Also, my play time was over 60 hours, but I did leave the game on pause for some extended periods of time. Still, pretty impressive, considering I barely even did any of the Gratitude Crystals and whatnot.
